About Us

About Us

I started Lone Oak Candle to express my craft through candles and to share with others how scents can bring joy, memories, and warmth to any room in their home.

A candle does more than bring light. Scent is one of the most powerful senses that we have. It can remind you of home, your first love, your wedding day, fishing on the lake, Christmas morning, or just a good cup of coffee. I wanted to bottle that up in some way and our candles do just that. I'm excited to be able to share these candles with you and hope that you too can experience a memory from our candles. Each Item is hand crafted and hand poured in small batches so that you get a fresh product every time.

Behind the Business

My name is Jason McMichael, owner and maker of Lone Oak Candle LLC. Centering this business around faith, family, and friends makes this a fun endeavor that I can bring you along with us. I have always loved art, design, and craft work. My mother has always had an eye for her artistic skill in paint, charcoal, and other crafts. I followed with that love of art in business. The same can be said for candle craft. It is all subjective to each individual. Candles bring art to a different sense that we can enjoy.

Ashley, my wife, and I hope that you enjoy these scents as much as we do. We are constantly looking for new, weird, and amazing new scents. Subscribe to our newsletter for more info or releases and some local events we’ll be attending in 2024!

All candles, scented oils, wicks, containers, vessels, and materials are all tested to ensure that we bring a safe and enjoyable candle every single time and consistent in their performance. Thank you all.

Sustainability Efforts

At Lone Oak Candle, we are committed to making a positive impact on our environment and community by integrating sustainable practices into our business operations. One of the key pillars of our sustainability efforts is our commitment to recycling. We believe that by reducing waste and conserving resources, we can help create a cleaner, healthier planet for future generations.

After your candle is at a 1/4" - 1/2" from the bottom of your jar, simply freeze it or use ice water to "super-harden" the left over wax. Another alternative is pouring boiling water in the vessel, the wax will rise to the top and float to be able to easily get the remaining wax out of the vessel. Then, pull the wick out and wash with soap and water. You can then reuse the vessel for what ever purpose you want. A small planter, pen holder, catch all for small things, piggy bank, etc.

All glass screw type vessels come with a seal in the lid to where you can reuse them (once cleaned) for canning as well.

I will be paying a percentage of all orders to go toward planting a tree with the help of the Eden Reforestation Project. Link for more information is below. We have a tracker on how many trees have been planted on our home page so you can see your efforts in helping our planet.
